Hi there, I’m James, a creative copywriter with 14 years experience based in London.

Throughout my career I’ve worked across a huge range of industries both in-house and agency side, and I haven’t encountered one yet that I wasn’t able to master. I love what I do, and feel very lucky to do it for a living. A cliché, sure - but it’s this cliché that fills me with a drive and enthusiasm I bring to every brief and every project every single day.

I’m also a passionate people manager. Having worked my way up the creative hierarchy, I know the challenges that younger creatives face on a day to day basis, and it’s with this knowledge that gives me the empathy and understanding to be an approachable and understanding creative leader. I bring unity and develop genuine connections in any team I join or lead because it’s my firm belief that every creative studio works best as a tight-knit, thick-skinned unit that always has each other’s backs.

This is the part where I‘m meant to condense my entire life and personality into one paragraph, so here goes. I love heavy metal, video games, dystopian science fiction and bad 90s action movies. I’m also from Hull. Yes, Hull - City of Culture 2017, the jewel of the east coast, birthplace of John Prescott, and until recently a consistent winner of numerous ‘Worst Place to Live in the Country’ awards.
